2025 Sustainability Report
New technology, new policy, new expectations from the communities and markets we serve—these things constantly transform the energy landscape. It would be easy to treat that pace as a reason to wait and see. We've taken the opposite approach. Since founding BKV, we've built a company around the belief that speed and clarity aren't in tension. Our closed-loop model, spanning natural gas production, midstream infrastructure, power generation and carbon capture, wasn't designed for just one version of the future. It was built to adapt as that future takes shape
...but our vision is as clear as ever.
Progress isn't defined by a single milestone. It's built through disciplined execution, continuous innovation and long-term investment. In 2025, we continued advancing emissions reduction initiatives across our operations, expanded our carbon capture capabilities, strengthened our power generation platform and demonstrated how responsible production and operational performance can reinforce one another. As energy demand continues to evolve, we're focused on building for where the market is headed, delivering practical energy solutions that meet today's needs while preparing for tomorrow's opportunities.

1.6 Mtpy-CO₂
Since the start of our emissions-reduction expedition, we have kept a baseline for BKV-operated upstream and midstream Green House Gas (GHG) emissions.
2.81 Mtpy-CO₂e
On 7/1/22, we established a new projected GHG baseline, resulting from the Exxon Barnett upstream and midstream assets acquisition.
2.15 Mtpy-CO₂e
Thanks to our Pad of the Future (POTF) program implementation, we successfully reached a 23% reduction in GHG emissions since our restated 2021 baseline.
1.66 Mtpy-CO₂e
Our commitment to the POTF, among other emissions-reduction programs, led to a decrease in overall GHG emissions by more than 38% from our restated baseline.
1.04 Mtpy-CO₂e
POTF, Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) and other targeted initiatives helped us reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 63% since our 2021 restated baseline.
0.99 Mtpy-CO₂e
Our focus on methane mitigation, infrastructure modernization and operational improvements reduced Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 65% from our 2021 restated baseline while supporting continued business growth.
We'll continue advancing emissions reductions through infrastructure modernization, methane mitigation, operational efficiencies and technology-driven monitoring.
