Joe Davis

Joseph R. Davis has served as a Director of the Company since May 2020 and as a Director of Reconnaissance Energy Africa Ltd. (TSXV: RECO) since January 2022. In 2014, Mr. Davis began collaborating with our Chief Executive Officer, Chris Kalnin, as a consultant. When BKV O&G was established in June 2015, he became Vice President of Geosciences at Kalnin Ventures. He later advanced to Senior Vice President and, in January 2019, assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer, serving until his retirement in March 2020.

Additionally, Mr. Davis served as Exploration Advisor for Digital Prospectors, LLC and Vice President of Hyperion Oil Iraq, L.L.C., where he focused on international oil and gas exploration in Iraq and Latin America. Prior to that, he operated a consulting business specializing in evaluating oil and gas exploration projects.

Mr. Davis earned an AB in Earth Science from Dartmouth College, an MS in Geology from Southern Methodist University and a PhD in Geology from the University of Texas at Austin. He brings extensive expertise in strategic planning, operations and upstream industry leadership to the board of directors.
